SHIB Experiences Increase in Burns After Shiba Inu Team's Hard Fork
Data from the Shibburn meme coin wallet tracker shows that there has been a significant increase in SHIB burns since yesterday morning, and the burn rate has risen sharply. This increase occurred after the Shiba Inu team carried out the first hard fork on the layer-2 blockchain Shibarium.
The burning rate has increased by 616.15% in the last 24 hours, a 15-fold increase. One transaction in particular contributed to this increase, with the SHIB community transferring SHIB 18,663,708 to non-spendable blockchain wallets. The largest transaction, which took place about an hour ago, was the sending of 14,943,135 SHIB to a dead address.
