Come, come, come. Small classroom.
Just now, Ethereum dipped quickly after hitting 63, which is actually the most disgusting tactic of the manipulators, luring in buyers + triggering stop-losses.
If you watch the market closely, it's very easy to be confused.
First, let's talk about inducing buying. The operators created an illusion of a strong breakthrough at 4450, and many people might chase this signal to buy, only to end up buying at the peak.
Talking about slippage, today I was suppressed by 4450 all day. Many people who shorted will set their stop-loss in the 4452-4455 range, and then they might be slapping their thighs saying, "Damn, after the slippage, it just dropped."
So why my strategy is limit orders + reasonable stop-loss.
I have calculated the range for the order. A true breakout is only considered if it strongly breaks 4475 and does not fall back below 4450. Therefore, I have provided two positions: 4432 and 4475. If it really reaches 4475 and you add to your position, your cost will be above 4360, and you can easily exit.
Another point is about stop-loss. You can recall the recent trades we made that were stopped out; did any of them experience a situation where the price immediately reversed after hitting the stop-loss?
Yesterday morning, the long position stop loss was at 4660. I also called out not to add positions at 4770, just stop loss at this point. After the stop loss was triggered, it dropped all the way to 4518.
Also, regarding the long positions from last night, my stop losses weren't set too tight. If the pending orders were stopped out, you would realize it’s a good thing it was just a small loss; otherwise, it could have led to a liquidation.
The purpose of having a stop loss is twofold.
1. To protect the principal
2. To avoid being stopped out
How many people are unwilling to part with those few points of stop-loss, only to end up liquidated?
How many people still have unreasonable stop losses that get reversed right after being hit?
If you manage to catch a reversal in the market and are not stopped out, then you can succeed in trading.
A small piece of advice, you can all communicate in the comment section if you have questions. #Gate广场七夕心意#
