I'm not going against you here. I agree that leaner state = cheaper hardware. I'm just unconvinced that current demand warrants enshrining it, and if it did, this SIMD isn't the way to go about it. "We can lower the cost of rent, with a small caveat" is a much stronger pitch imo!
