Vitalik: ETH is the core of Ethereum.
In an interview with @BanklessHQ, Vitalik Buterin discussed the core role of ETH in the ecosystem. He believes that ETH is the key element in the Ethereum ecosystem that can achieve consensus at the economic level, and maintaining its status is crucial as it serves to unite the entire Ethereum community. There are many theories about the source of ETH's value, but predicting its price fluctuations is difficult. Nonetheless, making Ethereum a more central ecosystem in global applications and finance remains the right direction, with transaction fees, network effects, and others supporting ETH.
